Scholarships
The Mountain Lake Vegetation Management Council (MLVMC) announces the third annual Scholarship Program.Under the Program, two (2) $1,000 scholarships will be awarded to undergraduate students attending a college or university in the Mid-Atlantic region majoring in Forestry, Horticulture, Environmental Studies or related field. The Mid-Atlantic region consists of the following states: Pennsylvania, Maryland, Virginia, West Virginia and Tennessee.
Program Guidelines & Priorities:
Seeking undergraduate students with a record of volunteerism in the community in non-school sponsored activities and participation in extracurricular school activities.
- Applicants must have a minimum GPA of 3.0 and currently enrolled in a 2- or 4-year college or technical school.
- Scholarship funds will be paid in June 2024 or July 2024 for the second semester of the student’s first year directly to the college and not to the student.
- MLVMC strongly suggests that each school present this opportunity to any applicants that match this program’s guidelines. Applications should be emailed to (mtnlakevmc@gmail.com) by May 31, 2024, by 5:00 p.m.

The scholarships will be awarded in July/August 2024.
